BlackBerry’s one of the most popular instant messaging apps in those days when WhatsApp, FaceBook wasn’t available is going to shut down on May 31 this year after their memorable 14 years. After the launch of new apps like WhatsApp etc this app wasn’t able to prefer by users now. This app was launched in 2005 initially the BlackBery Manager app was exclusive to only BlackBerry devices for years but then it was available to every one in 2013 and then the company BBM service started to manage it in 2016.
The company stated that Before three years they set to reinvigorate BBM customer service which is a most loved app as well as a cross-platform service where users can chat with their friends and also use payment services, we poured hearts of ours to make this a reality and we are absolutely proud of what we have done till now and despite all our efforts in building the app in more efficient way the users have shifted to other apps with this it was very difficult for BBM to get new users or sign in new users. Even though we are saying goodbye, the time has come to shut down the BBM customer service and for ourselves to move on.
FaceBook is the most widely used or popular app along with the WhatsApp these days and this is the reason they are shutting it down but the company said in their blog post that if anyone interested to get the app then it is still available to download but they need to pay 2.50$ every half a year to use the service.
